The organ is probably the most complex instrument. It is believed that Archimedes was its inventor. And the organ, through its diversity, encompasses almost all the sounds of instruments and manages to sound like an orchestra. In all this complexity, it seems that there are still some amusing parts. The bench on which the artist slides, the role and movements of the legs, and in a way even the fact that we do not see the artist. Today (15.06.2024), however, I had eyes for the one who turns the page on the score. I am always, always nervous for them. Usually instrumentalists know their scores, but still, with them in front of them, they are needed. What if the assistant doesn't turn the page between the right seconds? Or if the focus is so high that it gets tangled? Or ff they like the play too much, and they become part of it and forget about their role? Happened!
